Yellow-rumped Warbler, "Audubon's" female

Palo Alto Baylands

The absence of an eyeline and the restricted light patch on the throat identify this as Audubon's, despite the off-white throat. The drabness suggests a first winter bird, but on the other hand the tail and primary tips look worn (a young bird's feathers should be fresh) so maybe it's just a very drab adult female.

Great capture, haven't seen these yet this year.
