Ambush bug (Phymata)

Larose Forest. A very common insect throughout the region from mid-summer through early autumn. These are well-named, for they usually hide amongst flowers waiting for an unwary insect to land, at which point these guys ambush it.

We have that one here too. Great capture, Christine. I know how little these guys are. ~

Superbe macro, la composition est excellente avec l'insecte juste au bout de la feuille.

An odd looking little bug. It doesn't look like it could go very fast but I see it has little hooks on its front feet. V.
