view from Lewiston Hill, Idaho

the southern reach of the rolling terrain of The Palouse here intersects with the tablelands further to the south...bisecting the image from the left is the Clearwater River, intersecting with the Snake River, which also continues southwards..to the left (east) of the Snake is Lewiston, Idaho, and to the right (west) is Clarkston in Washington state

Wonderful juxtaposition. On the one hand, a great hairpin turn that stirs a desire to experience on two wheels. On the other hand, a great vantage point for the that vista of the rivers. But, those two hands are best kept apart and enjoyed in this capture instead.

Oh, you had a bird's eye view! Lots of variations in topography. Nice to see the winding road too. I see some small crosses in the grassy foreground, supposing those are roadside memorials along a dangerous stretch. V
