pump

along Hwy 12, N. of Dayton, WA

evidently one rural reality was that in earlier days farmers would run lots of gas-guzzling equipment, yet gas deliveries were spotty to say the least...as such they would secure their own underground tank, and also a pump with which to fill up the various trucks and farm equipment

such a place was visible along the road here, replete with decrepit pickup dumped in the yard

Interesting that this could be just about anywhere in the USA.

Cool find. I used to work for a small pecan grower/processor and that farm had its own fuel depot. Regular unleaded and diesel.

One gets the feeling that the truck never quite made it to the pump :) Cool shot ! V

This easily could be mistaken for Alberta. Circumstance is a big motivator. V

A very neat scene, David!! Did you fill up?? :-)
Neil Marcus17-Sep-2017 19:41
They do that still. Since they get a writeoff for farm use they theoretically cannot fill their family car. I like ths as it shows the whole operation.
