I was born in the old Coral Gables Hospital. Do you remember Orange Glade Elementary? I graduated from Miami Edison in "54. I met my future husband at Florida Pharmacy in Coconut Grove. We swam behind the old "Deering Estate", now a famous tourist atraction. The movies and stage shows at the Olympia were a Saturday to remember. Did you get a chance to walk out on the sand bar when the tide was out at Crandon Park? I know you remember the submarine races at the Haulover. How many of you remember the Big Football game between Miami High and Miami Edison that caused an all night parade down Flagler Blvd? I'm still in my beloved Florida and will never leave her. She just isn't what she used to be but then neither am I. I could go on and but I'll sleep and remember the Miami that Once Was. God Bless her.
