Sushi Snack

CSULB, Long Beach, CA

Having turned my attention to photographing some cat tails, gasps and comments from the others brought my attention back to the Green Heron to find that he had finally managed to get himself a little snack out of Koi pond.

Wow, that is an amazing catch. As some others have said, I also feel sorry for the poor fish. But I'm sure the heron was thinking he'd eat well on this.

I'm sure the garden folks wouldn't like him eating their Koi. Expensive fish but evidently quite tasty for the heron. Fantastic catch for you and him!

Now I know what is driving up the price of koi. Great capture Astrid.

Maybe an easy feed for an opportunist bird, but great for a classy image!
