Lamp

I can't help thinking that the bulb is a little out of place?

I noticed the same thing that LeeG did. Down here energy saver globes have been in the mainstream market since around the early 90's, which is when I got the first of mine. However this lamppost looks like it's been derelict for many decades. (Though granted the early 90's WAS almost two decades ago which is a scary thought, but this looks like it's been left to return to nature much longer than that.) In any case it's still an interesting shot; I'm always interested in shots like these of things which would have once been someone's pride and joy, but have simply been left to decay. In this case it's sometimes hard to tell where the lamppost begins and the growth ends.

Modern world electronics in a old world fixture. I wonder what caused the lamp to throw itself out of the lighting base?
