Packwood House

Like the magnificent Baddesley Clinton,
Packwood House is a little further away from us:
great for food, walks, gardens and architecture;
and famous for its topiary.

Arthur Mee, in The King's England (1949), says:
"Packwood. It has a rare little road with a great surprise.
We pass through a charming old gateway, and in one splendid moment
the glory of Packwood House is upon us. It is a famous spot, one of the most wonderful
in Warwickshire, and no traveller can forget its great company of ancient yews."
