Thanks to all for your comments. Joe: Well spotted: I did in fact crop the top of the picture a little ... Alkos: Thanks for your comparison! It makes me feel that I succeeded in what I was trying to do. It's many years since I saw "Bladerunner" but I recently purchased a copy which is waiting to be watched again.

This one's excellent. I reckon it especially works the way you took the downward angle and cropped any ending to the alleyway.

Eckhart: :) This is Hong Kong, where people come because they want to make money. To exaggerate just a little, the priority here is usually to get the job and make a profit today. Maps or plans might be useful for the next round of work, but that will probably be someone else's problem so no point doing anything to make it easier!
