3 July - TITC "My Country"

... is actually a place I'm not sure I want to be nowadays... too many
"feral" youths running riot, too many stabbings, no respect for authority...
it wasn't like this when I was in my teens! And now the Mayor is telling
us to "walk on by" if we see someone being attacked in case we are murdered
ourselves... I think I'm going to emigrate with my children to a
farm in the middle of New Zealand somewhere!
It's time for some respect, discipline & authority
in this country, down with all this "PC" crap! Vote for me for Prime Minister! ;o))
(rant over!)

same here - in CT the same thing happened - man was hit by a car and everyone just gathered on the sidewalk to "watch" him in the street... finally a someone called 911 and he was taken to the hospital... the excuse given was that everyone was scared that they might get sued if they tried to help - sign of the times... great entry -

I read the headlines, he was telling them off for swearing!! What is wrong with youth today??? sadly, its like that everywhere...it's the 'me' generation and thats all they care about.
Johnny said 'youths' but i think he meant 'ewes' ;-)))

It's the same here, same everywhere I expect. You just have to look for the good which is also there.

We were both looking on the dark side of life today...

Don't believe everything you read in the papers! It's not as bad as they say some of our youths are actually nice people!

Here Here !! You sound like me, my family call me Mrs Angry of Leigh
As for the feral youths, ZERO tolerance on knives and gunns, lock them away, I don't want my 3 Sons having to mix with them !

Tell me its not true (being a Daily Mail reader that is;->)
Dave Hein03-Jul-2008 17:25
You'll have to go really, really remote, Nicky. Sadly, this stuff is going on just about everywhere.

It's the malaise of the new millenium. We've experienced it here too. It'd make you nervous to move about places you normally didn't give a second thought to. And when I do, I hide my camera in an ordinary bag...
