An Irish Pub

Look through the galleries of any visitor to Ireland and you will find photos of sheep, pubs, green fields, stone walls and ancient monuments.
Look through my galleries, and with the exception sheep, you won't find many of the others.
It's not that there's not many pubs or green fields around here (stone walls and ancient monuments take slightly more time to find on the east coast) but just that I take them for granted.
I was stopped at traffic lights when I noticed the evening sun shining on this pub, one of my favourites, so I knew a detour was in order so I could get a snap of it.
Perhaps I should make life easier for myself and open my eyes to the cliches which are all around me.

THIS is how I picture an Irish pub. Warm light, bright door and bicycle parked outside. Perfect cliche, in the best way.

Its a super opportunistic shot and take away the modern bike and could be back 50 years. I really like this.

There is the risk of temptation with this strategy. Oh go on, go in and have a couple :0)

It might be a cliche but it's a very nice one

A very appealing scene. One of the major benefits of photograph is that it makes you notice what you often overlook.

with this light and clear definition, a worthy subject...love the graphical sense, and there's a drop of promise in the name too...Greenore is a fabulous whiskey from the Cooley Distillery...V

Charming ...and full of interest...but you are right,we take for granted so much that we see every day...V

This is a charming pub with glorious lighting!
We all enjoy viewing the scenes of where you live ~ typical Irish scenes, that you take for granted, are all enjoyed by us! :)

Considering one of my dreams is to sit in an Irish Pub where there is music being played and songs being sung so I have to say I'm glad you took this cliche and don't mind if you repeat it regularly

It is a lovely pub in gorgeous light. The bike and its shadow really add to the mood. Nothing wrong with capturing a cliche, when the result is so beautiful. V

Yes, do, Girl.
Just because it is familiar doesn't mean it is not worth more than a glance.
And, think of the pleasure a gem like this brings to the lonely wanderer.

It looks more like a shop. Love it...and the bike too!
