Painted Desert Trail AZ

The kids and I took a hike today, and found this
western desert patch-nosed snake just as we were rounding the
last bend. I laid down on the ground with the 105mm macro to
get this shot of him. This is a 100% crop from the full frame,
which was a lot of ground and only a tiny snake head.. I didn't
want to get closer and scare him away.

Hi Laryl
Great shot...looks like something for the fair.
But I agree with Linda - way to close for me!
