Fruit fly (Icterica seriata)

Found this pretty little fruit fly along the K&P Trail in Lanark County, near a wetland. Not surprising, as this species develops in the flowerheads of Bidens (of which there are various species, often called, in general, beggarticks).

It's name suits it. It almost looks like a piece of fruit. I know the fruit comes from what it eats but its rotund body is reminiscent of something edible. V.
