Saratoga Automobile Museum - Saratoga Springs, New York

This Maserati had an amazingly long career in competition. In 1936-37 it was on the Grand Prix circuit (winning the Pau Grand Prix in 1936) and racing in the Vanderbilt Cups. It competed in the Indianapolis 500 of 1938-39 and after the war at Watkins Glen from 1948 to 1955, winning the Seneca Cup race in 1949 and 1955. It weighed 1870 lbs and was powered by a supercharged V-8 with 320 hp. Its top speed was 144 mph. Source: Paraphrased from a sign in the museum.

a lovely motor; just enough there and not an unnecessary frill in sight. A very nice angle to the shot showing the bodywork following the line of the steering wheel

Interesting shot of this no frills interior. I like the blue and red tones. "V"
