#5a

Queens, New York

This is basically the original photo. I did crop it, remove some reflections and sharpen it. Otherwise it is as it came out of the camera. I kind of like the 'abstract' feel to it.

We just got back from taking a friend to JFK, New York. She is flying to Ireland. We got stuck in a traffic jam on the way back and it took us about 1.5 hours to go the last 3 miles to the exit from the Whitestone Bridge. Our mileage at that point dropped from around 45 MPG (American) to about 39. At least I got a picture. :)

Best if viewed at original size.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX5V
1/40s f/3.5 at 4.2mm iso125 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Great idea to show the vehicle lights and your instrumentation. I hope you weren't driving when you took this. V

Disgusting traffic jam, but nice image Frank!

Hate being in traffic jams too... this shot is great, just enough detail!

oh yes, I forgot...you're in West Hartford...We lived in Ellington. I worked in Hartford, Rocky Hill, Middlebury and Simsbury... Used to call it the Route 84 parking lot...and saw a mountain lion once in Simsbury...yup!

Love it. Sounds like typical NYC/CT traffic to me. I lived in Hartford, CT for almost 4 years. It wouldn't be unusual to be "parked" on the highway.

I like it!

38.9 mpg drops fast in stand still traffic. A patience testing situation.
