Apparently it's not just judges who don't like images that are too soft. Today's PAD is one step up in detail from yesterday's - but still soft & not tack sharp (on purpose).

Pushing the boundaries is a "good thing"! I do prefer this image... I think it's the hint of detail swirling through the horizontal format, and more depth of color, which makes me feel there's more to see and experience in this lovely image.
