Planetary Nebula in Hydra. Abell 33 is an attractive symmetrical planetary nebula in the constellation Hydra.
It has been called the diamond ring nebula because of the mag 7 star HD83535 that shines on its outer ring.
The star is a foreground star that is not associated with the nebula.
It is fairly strong in OIII and fairly weak with no distinct structure in Ha.
