Planetary Nebula in Hydra. Abell 33 is an attractive symmetrical planetary nebula in the constellation Hydra.
It has been called the diamond ring nebula because of the mag 7 star HD83535 that shines on its outer ring.
The star is a foreground star that is not associated with the nebula.
It is fairly strong in OIII and fairly weak with no distinct structure in Ha.
This image adds LRGB for the starfield.
Oh, of course the diffraction spike on the main star is artificial. I apologize. I've never added them before. But how could I not in this instance?
