I learned to swim at the Casa Loma back in the late 1950's during summer camp. We used to arrive in a school bus and hit the pool. I still remember the first lessons (blowing bubbles under water). Thanks for the memories!

This was the last stop on my route delivering the Miami Hearld in the back of a van for the Marshall Family. There was no buildings north of here on U.S. 1 until you came to Hallendale, only the Gulfstream Racetrack was there. Landcrabs took over the roads at night because the road was still warm and if you ran one over you got a flat tire with no one around to help you. this area was concidered remote.
