All runways are closed to air traffic in this photo. Dade County Junior College (later Miami-Dade Junior College, Miami-Dade Community College, and now Miami-Dade College offering some 4-year programs) opened off-site in 1960 and began classes at this location in 1963. A couple of new buildings can be seen in this photo.

I've never seen a monument or marker at this college noting that they are occupying former military land given to the state of Florida and Dade county for their institution.
