Thank you to Richard Lawhorn who bought this print off of eBay, scanned it and sent me his scan which I restored to like new condition. According to the back side of the image this was a Bill Kuenzel photo when he was working for The Miami Herald. This air raid siren, along with other air raid sirens in the county, would go off at 1 pm every Saturday as a test to make sure they were working. Another siren was located on top of the tall Municipal Auditorium sign at Palm Avenue and W. 48th Street in Hialeah and it was the one that I remember from 1957 to 1966 when I left town for military active duty.
