Miami Daily News Tower ( Freedom Tower) My folks came to Miami in 1923, I grew up on Miami Ave &25street. When I went to Miami Jackson High I earned my spending money working on Saturday eveining from 6:00PM until 6:00am Sunday morning, we colated the funnies, Sunday magazine, adds,, A,B,C,D&E sections into the Sunday morning paper ready for delivery before most folks woke up. 12 hours for $20.01, pay day was Tuesdays after 3:00 pm, you know where I went that time of day.
