First Year in the Books

One year ago, I took up cycling. I could not have predicted
that I would still be at it, 365 days later. I would have been
dumbfounded if someone had said I would ride over 2,500 miles in that first
year, but that's what I did. Today's ride put me at 2,504 miles for the year.

This is where it all began: http://www.pbase.com/digitalgee/image/45153076

I have never been athletic in my life. I've never stuck with a fitness
program for very long. But this was fun, and that made all the difference.

This accomplishment is easily part of my personal Top Ten over the course
of my life. As I post this, I am both astonished and proud. :-)

Wish I could say the same ;-(((
but...Congratulations my friend,but be careful....
because too much cycling gives you a anaesthesia in the part where the body meets the saddle ;-)))
Rubbing for 20 minutes seems to help;-)))
Good luck!

Hi Gary, I've had you on my favorites for a long time now and check in frequently to see your new pics! Congratulations to you on your 2500 miles! It is such a great accomplishment and I am very proud of you!!!! Getting fit is an awesome thing to do for our bodies. I try and work on that one every day as well. I walk and jog but, just like you, have been looking into purchasing a mountain bike. Keep doing what you're doing!!!
Blessings to you and your family, Laura
