This Peregrine Falcon flew up and landed very close to me while I was out searching for shorebirds at San Louis Pass a few days ago. I was so surprised I could hardly get a photo as my camera was set up for more distant subjects. This beauty didn’t show any fear until I tried to step back for a full-body shot. Birds never cease to amaze me.
