October Snow 2020

Flowers are still in bloom.

Today’s snowfall tied the record @ 3rd for earliest recorded snowfall in the Metro.

However, 2020 is also the third straight year for an unusually early, October snowfall. Guess this weather may now be the new normal.
Just 4 days ago, it was 85 degrees and sunny.

Below is a list of the only times (in recorded history) that Kansas City had October snows: including the Season's first snowfall in October. Plus also the for the years rankings for having the most snow in October. This year was tied for the area's 3rd Earliest Snow in recorded history; plus one ranked tied for #5 for the most October snow ever.

Beautiful contrast of the snow with the flowers. We had the same snow and it was bitter cold and icy. I don't know if it was a record or not. Not the earliest snow for us even this year since it snowed in September which is really early.

Your photograph says it all regarding the strange weather we are having all over - +85 to this in a few days! Snow on flowers makes for a lovely shot, however. V
