a light rail system came to Houston largely because of Superbowl 38 held here in 2004
the event was by all accounts a success, but even more importantly it transformed Houston's aversion to light rail (we likes our cars) and the system is due for further expansion
this is the Texas Medical Center station, which I find handsome in a utilitarian way
