I sorely wanted the Revell model of this, but could never find one in the hobby store in the town where I grew up
there aren't many of these still flying
the pilot here is a WW II ace who flew the P 38 in combat
this plane was excavated from the crash site of the "Lost Squadron" in Greenland fifty years later
