Another hunter in the Big Cypress swamp. Large and stately, the Great Egrets are hard to distinguish from white "morphs" of the Great Blue Heron--which make up 3-7% of the Great Blue Heron population in south Florida. The easiest clue for me was that the Great Egrets have black legs, whereas the legs of the white Great Blue Herons are lighter.
