Samburu National Reserve, May 25, 2009

Leaving from Wilson Airport in the morning, we arrived at the airstrip in Buffalo Springs National Reserve about an hour and a half later. Driving en route to Larsen's Tented Camp in Samburu was Jamie's first game run, and - what a run it was! We saw 4 of the Samburu 5 on the drive, plus many others! Jamie was amazed at the animals, and as we were to find out later that night - he did an excellent job of taking his first pictures of wildlife. After a slow, delicious lunch outside down by the river, we opted to skip the afternoon game run and just wind down for the afternoon.
Not sure why this struck me as funny, but.......
