Africa 2009

Yearning to return to East Africa for the third time, we came up with any excuse to justify a trip back! We really wanted our son, Jamie, to experience the sights, sounds, people and animals of Africa, so we asked him if we could take him on a special birthday trip. He agreed - and the plan was set in motion!
Daniel Kikemu, our safari director on our last two trips with Micato in 2006 and 2007 had started up his own company, DK Grand Safaris - and this was a great excuse to try it out! We booked a fully escorted, part luxury, part mainstream safari with DK, along with the Nairobi portion taken care of by our friend Kennedy from Waymark Safaris out of Nairobi, and the Zanzibar extension taken care of by Mussa, owner of Zanzibar Exclusive Tours.
A FABULOUS TRIP indeed I must say!
