I was sitting at my desk, with the window just to my right this is the view I have..
Charlie was playing in the strong sunlight and having a ball so of course I grabbed
the camera. She kicked and grabbed the post and was having a blast when suddenly her
backhalf flopped over the side. For a split second she froze, and I could just hear
her thinking "oh shoot I'm stuck, help!" .. then as I tried not to laugh so I could
get a quick shot, she pulled herself up.
This little event may seem routine enough ..but.. for months and months she has been
acting like, and the vet agreed that she must have injured her back. She was very
unstable and refused to jump on anything. She would fall off the coffee table if she
tried. She didn't like to be touched and was really bitchy to the other cats if they
tried to play with her. Just lately she has started jumping and playing again and
while the vet couldn't really figure out what was wrong (without expensive xrays), we
figure it was something that has now healed enough to make her want to play again.
It was great to see this today, and I laughed when I saw her crazy position.
