The Colour of Rain


It's raining in Dubai!!!!

This does not sound like a big deal anywhere else in the world, but considering that the last rain we had in Dubai was in February 2006, 10 months is a long time to wait.

After moving to Dubai, I found it difficult to get accustomed to the lack of rain, especially since I had grown up in a place that rained almost every day. So these drops of water as seen from the car, is such a common sight to most people, but something that I personally cherish, since it happens so rarely here.

You have chosen well, Azlin, but shooting the effects of rain as color and form, instead of just rain itself. The images are evocative --they all express feelings and ideas rather than describe a wet window.
