Pink Walkathon - Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign 2009

On Friday October 30th 2009, Bur Juman shopping centre in Dubai hosted the 6th annual Pink Walkathon, a 3.6 kilometer charity walk. Now a premier and regular event in the UAE’s calendar, numerous members of the public – men, women and children – joined in to help support this very worthy cause, aimed at raising funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer. All proceeds from the Pink Walkathon are monitored by Red Crescent and will be used to generate awareness and education within the community and support patient care.

FACT - breast cancer is the second biggest cancer killer amongst women
~
FACT - breast cancer is the primary cause of death for women between 40-55
~
FACT - probabilities are, at some stage of your life, someone you love will accept a finding of breast cancer
~
FACT - early detection can prevent the spread of breast cancer
~

So ladies, remember to perform self checks regularly!

I was in Walkathon Dubai 2009, I appreciated so much, I share this event for my mother who I lost since 22 years, I missed her so much. My life without her is so empty, I miss her tenderness her love and her perfum. I pray for all the poeple sufering from any cancer, May gd do miracle for them.
