It looks to be an image from the 50s, and the emptiness is also uncommon, something that you don't get to see often in a European city.

Indeed, love the long lines of perspective and graduation from light to dark. There is a certain softness in here as well-- a slight haze in the air, like dust from the old papers scattering the light... Great pensive atmosphere. V.
