Great shot. It looks as though it had recently eaten something.

'Someone who is a snake in the grass betrays you even though you have trusted them'.
Nice shot.

If that is a macro zoom you could have been "too close for comfort" even with a 400mm.
Jola Dziubinska24-Jul-2009 23:07
Very pretty snake, excellent capture.
Maaike Huizer24-Jul-2009 13:58
Yes, it does fit the challenge.
Cindi Smith24-Jul-2009 12:38
You at least were a little ways away from this guy but scary. Great find and cliche!
Fay Stout24-Jul-2009 12:38

Susan Leigh24-Jul-2009 05:36
I hope it wasn't near your house...way to close for comfort!!!
Good 'shot' though..(don't know about 400mm, I think 22cal is better ;-))
cits_4_pets24-Jul-2009 05:14
Pretty fellow, nice capture and cliche.
Laryl24-Jul-2009 04:03
cool! I have tried to find snakes here but can't.. even if I did they wouldn't be in the grass most likely, we barely have any grass lol
joanteno24-Jul-2009 03:16
400 mm is to close for me.
Herb 24-Jul-2009 02:53

Carolyn Rasmussen24-Jul-2009 01:40
Beautiful but deadly! This fits the brief. A real snake in the grass. :)
lou_rozensteins24-Jul-2009 00:06
You needed your 400mm for this one. Nice details of the head. Well done. Voted.
Máire Uí Mhaicín23-Jul-2009 22:53
Yes, I agree with Johnny! That's what I thought it was too!!
Peter Stahl23-Jul-2009 22:09
I see you used the 400mm. You sure don't want to get to close to him. Excellent job on this one Sheila!
Nicki Thurgar23-Jul-2009 21:22
Not in your back garden I hope?! Yikes!
Neil Horner23-Jul-2009 21:21

A "snake in the grass". This would fit the TITTC nicely.
