A finger post points the way to Ashford and Monsal Dale at Monsal Head on 3 July 2020. The viaduct in the valley once carried the Midland Railway's line from Ambergate to Buxton. The line closed in 1968 and Headstone Viaduct is now used by walkers and cyclists.
