A view of the Midland Railway-Butterley, taken from the foot crossing at Hammersmith Station at the western end of the line. The signal box was originally located at Kilby Bridge in Leicestershire and is a Midland Railway (MR) type 3b structure dating from 1900. It was closed by British Rail on 29 June 1986 and was commissioned at Hammersmith in September 1989.
