Young Opossum

Didelphis virginiana

Tuscarora

This young opossum was chased up into the hemlocks by our dogs when I let them out last night. Fortunately, he was faster than they were and escaped unscathed. He was dining on bird seed.

Ohhh, he is adorable! Most of the opposums I've seen in the past have been dead on the road. This is a little charmer. V
