The Amphitrite Lighthouse.Built in 1906,the original wooden lighthouse had been built as a response to the tragic shipwreck of the Pass of Melfort in 1905.It was destroyed by winter storm waves in 1914 and replaced by the current structure in 1915.
It became unmanned and automated by the Canadian Coast Guard in 1988.
I think the pooled water below is toxic....well it sure looks like it is!
