This restaurant and visitor centre sits at the edge of Wickininnish Beach and after a long walk down this beach we decided a stop here for lunch was in order.We walked into the restaurant and although it was quiet there we still had a 10 minute wait before we were noticed and seated.That should have been our clue as to what was to follow.We ordered the featured clam chowder soup.15 minutes went by and then we were told "we are all out of soup".Then we ordered something else and the waiter said "let me check and see if we have that".This time we waited 20 minutes before he came back and said "nope we don't have that".After one more attempt to order and another 15 minute wait before being told "nope we're out of that too" I asked if he could maybe just tell us what he DID have.I ended up with a burnt hamburger in a stale bun and this all took 90 minutes.Oh and they wanted to charge me admission to use the washroom as it was in the adjoining visitor centre that had a couple of replicated artifacts that the native band thought should be worthy of an admission fee.
My tip....turn around and walk back when you reach this part of the beach!
