The white edges of the primaries and broad white edges of the tertials are hard to see in most of the published photos, but are visible in this shot (these features are present in Blackpoll and Bay-breasted, but not Pine). The buffy undertail is unique to Bay-breasted (among these three warbler species). The white sides of the vent area on this individual conceal this field mark on many of the side shots.
