Thank you. It started with the method explained on my site at http:www.innographx.com/forum in the Photo Art Tutorials forum in a thread called Fine Sketch or Colored Pencil...or something like that. After merging the layers, I also blended in a dupe of the merged result which had angled strokes again, in different directions and lowered opacity. There is a slightly blurred layer sandwiched in there somewhere to soften it.
