Spring equinox, the moment when the sun is above the earths equator.
Sun shining through my window at pretty much that moment.
After the spring equinox the days get longer in the northern hemisphere
and here in the far north, we get SUN again and lots of it, which makes everyone happy.
There are numerous other holidays and festivals around that day besides Easter and Passover
like Nowrūz, Ulugh-Kun, Sham El Nessim, Mehregān, Shunbun no hi.
The Christian holiday Easter derives its name from the Goddess of the Dawn,
a lunar fertility goddess whose Saxon name was Eostre, German name was Ostara,
and whose festival was held on the first full moon after the Spring Equinox.
Totally Informal Transglobal Challenge: "Easter - without Eggs or Chocolate!"
