Circling a just plowed field with its newly revealed feast of goosey breakfast delectables.
Just one small flock of innumerable smaller and larger flocks already heading south for the coming winter.
Hopefully, the wife and I won't be far behind them.
In total, I must have seen several thousand geese at dawn this morning,
with never a break from at least one of them honking away somewhere within hearing range
and usually with countless of them causing a cacophony of honking from all parts of the sky.
Photographed near Carleton Place, Ontario Canada.
