Old Paria (also spelled Pahreah) lies just off Hwy 89 between Kanab and Page.
It was the site of one of the early Mormon settlements.
The site was chosen because of its proximity to the Paria River that starts at Bryce Canyon and ends at the Colorado River jus downstream from Lee's Ferry.
