Fruit flies (Euaresta bella) on ragweed

This mating pair of fruit flies was on a ragweed plant. These flies are found only on (or sometimes next to) ragweed, for their larvae eat the flower seeds, therefore helping to control the spread of this plant, the pollen of which can cause grief to those suffering from ragweed allergies.

These are the ones with their wings constantly in motion isn't? Nice capture.

The only fruit flies I ever see are so tiny, I have no idea what they look like. These are really pretty with their green color and yellow colors and patterned wings. V.
