Hollyhock

This is a classic English cottage garden plant. However, this one was found growing amidst a plethora of vegetation that has grown up where a house stood once upon a time. Now it is a mix of native, non-native but naturalized, and garden plants like this.

One of my fav flowers, there are many here in the gardens. They come iun all sorts of colors and I have a weakness for the pink or the red ones ... In French, we call them Rose Tremière.

I just love Hollyhocks, but they don't grow here. This one is a wonderful color. I love finding old gardens in the woods, especially roses. It also makes me feel sad in a way, but I don't know why. V
