Bigos

Home

Bigos is a traditional stew made of sauerkraut (fermented white cabbage), sausages and meat with dried plums and mushrooms added.
The best on the third day of cooking, for 2 hours each day. Many consider it the Polish national dish.
In Poland, it is a traditional dish to be served on the Christmas Day and Boxing Day dinner.
