Tenant houses of the Przybyla brothers – St. Nicolas' and St. Christopher’s tenant houses.
The tenant houses were erected around 1615 by townspeople – brothers Mikolaj (Nicolas) and Krzysztof (Christopher) Przybyla. They are examples of late Renaissance (mannerist) architecture, combining the local construction tradition with the influence from the Netherlands and Italy.
Both tenant houses have the same layout of facades: the first floor with three arcades and the upper floor with three windows. The facades are decorated with bas-reliefs picturing people and animals, as well as with floral ornaments. The decorations represent the morals, the mythology, Christian symbolism, medieval phantasies and renaissance grotesques.
The decorative elements are made of stucco. Both houses are crowned with some of the most beautiful renaissance high attics in Poland.
