We are celebrating the 60th birthday of this building, icon of Warsaw, Palace of Culture and Science (PKiN).
It was "an unwanted gift" from Stalin to the Polish nation, that we had to pay for ourselves LOL
It was open to public on July 22nd, 1955.
There is a popular joke about the building:
"Where do you get the best view of Warsaw? From inside the Palace of Culture and Science.
Why? Because you can't see the Palace of Culture and Science from there."
